Theme: Questions Jesus Asks
Join us in person or virtually by Zoom to explore this theme for 6 weeks!

One of the most striking characteristics of Jesus’ ministry is the way he continually asks
questions of those he encounters. While Jesus’ questions do not demand quick and easy
answers, they evoke new understandings, help listeners see different perspectives, and
ultimately, change lives.

This Bible Study examines the questions Jesus asks his listeners. From the simple, “How many
loaves do you have?” to the challenging, “Could you not stay awake with me one hour?” and to
one that inspires inward searching, “Who do you say that I am?”, each chapter invites us to new
ways of encountering Jesus in the gospels, to better understand who he was for his original
disciples and who he is for us today.

Methods

  • Read at home the assigned biblical texts and commentaries.
  • Discuss the questions for reflection during the sessions.
  • Pray with select passages.

Join by Zoom (Tuesday Morning Sessions Only)

How to Join by Zoom

If you are interested in joining the Bible study from home, please email Jim Merhaut at jmerhaut@stjosephaustintown.org and David Labra at dlabra@stjosephaustintown.org to request a Zoom link for the Bible study. We invite you to register for their free resources and begin your journey deeper into one of the pillars of our faith.
