St. Joseph

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit…,” Matthew 28: 19

Through the waters of Baptism

Your child is welcomed into the community of St. Joseph Parish. We congratulate you and your child and offer this information to help you prepare for the celebration of this Sacrament.

Call the church office to arrange for your child’s baptism. New parents attend a Baptism class to prepare for the ceremony. You may schedule the class before your child’s birth. We are also happy to welcome older children who were not baptized as infants.

Baptisms are not held during Lent and Advent.

Resources

This short video will help you get a better understanding of the Sacrament of Baptism:

Immaculate Heart of Mary

Jesus said to his disciples, “Go, then, to all my peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

The Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life.  Through this sacrament we become members of Christ, we are freed from sin, and we share in the mission of the church.  Baptism calls us all to be dedicated to the love of God and neighbor.

Baptism for Babies

Congratulations! The parish community of Immaculate Heart of Mary will  joyfully celebrate with you the baptism of your baby.
